DAY WISE ITINERARY:

DAY 01: GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (APPROXIMATE 03 HRS / 130 KMS)

Arrive at Guwahati, proceed to Shillong by coach. En-route enjoy boat ride (Subject to operation) in Umiam Lake – it is one of the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Arrive at Shillong in the evening. Check in to the hotel and overnight stay at Shillong.

DAY 02: SHILLONG- MAWLYNONG VILLAGE – DAWAKI – SHILLONG (APPROXIMATE 08 HRS 45 MINS / 290 KMS)

After breakfast proceed to Mawlynnong village – Asia’s cleanest village, Where you can enjoy scenic beauty of nature, beautiful Small house of villagers and Living root bridge – suspension bridge formed of living plant roots by tree shaping. Later we visit Dawki village to enjoy boat ride in one of the cleanest river of India known as Umngot river – the water of the river is so clear that the boats appear to float over it. See India Bangaldesh border at Tamabil. Arrive at Shilong in the evening. Overnight stay at Shillong.

DAY 03: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJI – SHILLONG (APPROXIMATE 04 HRS / 140 KMS)

After breakfast proceed to Cherrapunji. En-route take photostop at Elephant Falls. Cherrapunji also called as Sohra has been credited being the wettest place on earth. Visit Nohkalikai Falls – the tallest plunge waterfall in India, Seven Sisters Falls – a seven-segmented waterfall and Ram Krishna Mission – Standing on the sturdy foundation of the ideology and preaching of Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Swami Vivekananda. DAY 04: SHILLONG – TEZPUR (APPROXIMATE 05 HRS 30 MINS / 260 KMS)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to visit Don Bosco Museum (Subject to operation) – one of the most Hi-tech museums in India. Proceed to Tezpur – an ancient city on the banks of the river Brahmaputra. En-route visit Maha Mrityunjay Temple at Nagaon. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has world’s largest 126 foot tall shivlinga. Arrive at Tezpur in the evening. Check in to the hotel and overnight stay at Tezpur. DAY 05: TEZPUR – DIRANG (APPROXIMATE 05 HRS 30 MINS / 230 KMS)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Dirang. En-route enjoy the view of Kangto and Gorichen peaks – highest peaks in the state amidst the Himalayan landscape and snow clad ranges. Visit to Asia’s third largest Orchidarium at Tipi where you can see over 7500 orchids from a collection of about 300 species. Arrive at Dirang in the evening. DAY 06: DIRANG – SELA PASS – TAWANG (APPROXIMATE 05 HRS / 165 KMS)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and go for Photo stop at Dirang Monstry over 500 Yrs old one of the oldest Monastry in india. View Monpo village along with Kiwi garden at Dirang. Proceed to Tawang. Enroute visit Sela Pass, which connect Tawang to rest of India. Enjoy view of beautiful Sela Lake. En-route visit Jaswant Garh war memorial. Arrive at Tawang – known for largest monastery in India and second largest in the world after the Potala Palace in Lhasa. Check in to the hotel and overnight stay at Tawang. DAY 07: TAWANG

After breakfast visit Tawang Ganden Namgyal Lhaste. Popularly known as the Tawang Monastery is the largest monastery in India and second largest in the world after Potla palace in Lasha. The place is worth paying a visit because of the collection of huge scriptures, books, gold lettered Buddhist scriptures, images and tapestries. The 18 ft high gilded statue of the Buddha in the monastery complex is also worth watching. Visit Urgelling Monastery (Subject to Operation) the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama who is the only Indian to have risen to such a high position in Gelupka Sect of Buddhism so far. DAY 08: TAWANG – BOMDILLA (APPROXIMATE 06 HRS / 210 KMS)
